Position Title: Troyer Country Outlet Manager

Exempt Status: Exempt

Accountable To: Director of Purchasing

  • As the TCO Manager, you will have several points of contact and communication with the following list of teams, but this is not all inclusive:
  • Inside sales and Customer service
  • Troyer DSR, DSM, and Development teams
  • Purchasing,
  • DC Operations and Transportation
  • Senior Management
  • Outside Vendors and Brokers
  • All Troyer Employees / multiple locations

Essential Functions:

As the TCO Manager your primary responsibility is to lead and develop your team. Areas of primary responsibility would include the following, but is not limited to : leading by example; servant leadership; aggressive attitude towards growing customer count, driving sales and profitability; manage 3 employees, schedules, work performance, etc…

  • Customer Service:
  • Assist in store customers with their specific needs
  • Assist business customers with their business needs
  • Assist employees with purchases
  • Answering questions specific to the needs of the order
  • Taking customer payment at the register using Keystroke system
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Help process TAG orders
  • Process standing weekly orders
  • Process Samples from DSR’s: print off, approval, order entry, stage, e-mail
  • Answering phones and taking orders at various times of the day
  • Customer Orders:
  • Utilize Microsoft NAV system to input customer orders
  • Collaborate with District Sales Reps. and assist with customer orders
  • Maintain customer order organization
  • Facebook advertising, Text Alerts, as directed by DOP
  • Merchandising:
  • Restock shelves with product daily as needed using Troyer Country Outlet system
  • Merchandise and price damaged goods
  • Ensure all products are priced and weighed accurately to Troyer standards
  • Assist in maintaining a store that is kept neat and clean at all times
  • Operational Duties:
  • Balance change drawers prior to store opening
  • Restock change to ensure adequate amounts are available during operation hours
  • Generate reports from prior day’s transactions including but not limited to register and window calls
  • End of day deposit prepared for next day
  • Successful completion of closing checklist performed each day prior to store lock-up
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly excel and keystroke reports
  • Determine outdated and donation items
  • 3rd party orders, DOT, Bunzl, etc…
  • Damage products process/ spreadsheet/ nav/ tag/ keystroke
  • Work with buyers and category manager to help move dated products
  • Misc. Duties:
  • Prepare food for customer and employee lunches daily
  • load customers with product as needed
  • All other assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • Customer focused
  • Ability to get Serv Safe certified online
  • Computer word processing and spreadsheet experience
  • Well organized
  • Pleasant personality and able to relate to people well
  • Comfortable taking cash payments

Working Conditions: Busy retail environment open to the public, walk-in business customers, and employees

Ability To:

  • Ask customers open ended questions to resolve their needs
  • Work under pressure and maintain a customer oriented environment
  • Demonstrate multitasking abilities under pressure
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills with little or no supervision
  • Sit, stand, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Collaborate and work as a team

Education and Experience:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Previous retail experience is a plus
