05/25/07 -- Bloomington and Goshen, IN: Over two years ago Troyer Foods, Inc., headquartered in Goshen, IN acquired Sure Fine Foods in Evansville, IN and last year grew their presence in southern Indiana with the addition of many of Cadick Foods’ customers and staff. Today Troyer Foods, Inc. (with $160 million in sales) completed the acquisition of Beasley Food Service, Inc. (with $17 million in sales) in Bloomington, IN. Beasley Food Service is a broad line foodservice distributor originating and specializing in produce. Having already established an excellent reputation and loyal following, Beasley Food Service will continue distribution. The combined assets and people of Beasley’s and Troyer’s makes an even stronger company. The company will now stock over 5000 items with an even more diverse product line, serving customers in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Kentucky. Beasley’s will operate as a division of Troyer’s: the name and the excellent tradition of customer service will continue with Charlie Beasley functioning in the role of Chief Operating Officer. The address, phone number and other information will be the same. Also in the Beasley tradition, Troyer Foods is a family owned independent business. This addition is another step in achieving great customer service, exceptional product lines and accomplishing our mission.
